Indieheaven.com has launched Broken Records, an new online division for artists and bands who are pursuing excellence.

Broken Records will promote, market and distribute releases from independent artists who retain complete control over their content and ownership of their songs. Fans can download songs using the new Weed format or purchase CDs on the Broken Records website.

"Indieheaven is a great place to locate and cultivate relationships with many independent artists, which we have done since 1997,” says Indieheaven founder Keith Mohr. “We realized a certain segment of our roster on Indieheaven warranted more services in a focused environment tailored to their needs. We created Broken Records as a vehicle to partner with proactive artists in a co-operative relationship."

Artists selected for the Broken Records roster include Chronos, Crownd, Clearview, Waterside, Jimmie Bratcher, Echosflow, Clemency and Unsed. More artists will be added in 2005.

"We'll find artists for the Broken Records roster from our partner site, Indieheaven,” says Mohr. “Indieheaven is where our relationship with an artist begins, Broken Records is where it is taken to the next level."
