The Bottom Line
From Kim Jones
Honest, exciting and electrifying, Circleslide hits the mark with their debut release,
Uncommon Days. It's no small wonder that they were named the
No. 1 Contemporary Christian Band at the Music Resource Groups Independent Music Awards in 2005.
The mellow modern worship of "Love Unfailing" and "Home" combined with the slow and easy "Sun Of My Soul" show that these rockers have a soft side underneath the guitars. If you want more than simply rock, try Circleslide on for size.
Pros
- A very full sound, passionate worship in full-out rock mode

Guide Review - Circleslide - 'Uncommon Days'
From Kevan Breitinger
With a sound that is fat and full, Circleslide debuts with passion and enthusiasm to spare. Their honest and vulnerable lyrics tell stories of growing in relationship with God. You will be encouraged and reassured, both inspired and entertained. Showcasing a nice variety of rock approaches within this project, Circleslide offers up the hard rock of "Weatherboy," the wailing and worshipful guitar of "Up to the Sky," and the passionate declaration of "Possession." These songs are as ready for church worship as they are for radio play and that's a beautiful thing. Standout tracks include the bouncy title track, the melodic "Home," and the uplifting and compelling "Walking on the Waves." "Get Up" is another winner, moving and deeply encouraging. You may not initially be drawn to thickly swirling guitars but give yourself time to move farther into this music. You won't be sorry.
Uncommon Days is upbeat rock with great heart.
